As the company proceeded to grow one of the first apprentices was Shane Richins.

Following a management buy out in the early 1980s Shane Richins who is now the owner/MD has evolved and expanded the company so that in its present form Swadlincote Diesel employs 15 members of staff.

Continued success has lead to growth and expansion within the company and the premises now cover approximately 108,000 sq. feet containing workshops, parts storage and office space.
