The sections DIESEL F.A.Q. and DIESEL PROBLEMS have ONLY been designed to allow customers to reference some of the more common problems encountered with diesel engined vehicles.

If a problem is encountered we would advise customers to contact Swadlincote Diesel and allow one of our trained engineers to examine the vehicle using the appropriate and recommended equipment.

The animated images below demonstrate one common problem that can affect a diesel engine.

What you are looking at is the Injector that atomises fuel into the engine before it ignites.

    The first image shows a narrow jet of Diesel (incorrect).

    The second image shows a diffused cloud of Diesel (correct).

This can be one of the main causes of poor or decreasing fuel consumption and degredation in vehicle performance.

Swadlincote Diesel can test any type of injector to determine if this fault is present.

This testing does require specialist equipment and training so please contact us if you require this service.
